Example: check a Harvest import
Check a small export before moving more history. Match the person and project, then compare the imported hours with the source row.
Example · Product behaviour checked . These are demonstration records, not customer results.
The example in one line
2.5 hours × 3,600 seconds = 9,000 seconds; repeating the same batch leaves one time entry.

Try the same steps
- 1
Preview a small export
Upload an authorised detailed-time CSV. Review the embedded client and project, then match the person to an existing team member.
- 2
Resolve the mappings
Check the proposed task and currency. Do not commit a batch while a required person mapping remains unresolved.
- 3
Reconcile the result
Compare the imported record and duration with source ID 1001. Review failures and unsupported details before confirming the move.
How we checked it
We previewed and imported this detailed-time CSV in TimeLodge. We processed the same batch twice and checked its records and duration after both runs.
- The preview finds one client, one project and one task in the time row.
- The person maps to an existing team member before import.
- The imported record retains source ID 1001, and repeating the batch leaves one time entry.
What this example covers
- This is one supported detailed-time row, not a guarantee for every Harvest export. Review your own mappings and unsupported fields.
- This is a file import, not an ongoing connection. Imported invoice and estimate summaries remain references, not editable documents.
- Review rates and billing defaults before preparing invoices from imported work. The example does not confirm or send an invoice.
